The Proactive Wardrobe Process

We’ve spoken at length about having a proactive wardrobe. But what does that actually look like when you let us see your closet? Outlined below is our process of successfully transforming your reactive closet into a proactive wardrobe.

1) What to donate
The first step is to eliminate clothing items that are worn out, out of date, or things that you won’t miss going forward. Another aspect is to eliminate items that don’t make sense for your audience you’re in front of. This is important whether your closet is geared towards business, social, or a combination of the two.

2) What to keep
The next step in the proactive wardrobe process is assessing what is worth keeping in your closet. This will vary depending on your buying journey and frequency of purchases over the years. Ideally, we will keep things that combine good quality, proper fit, and items that you enjoy wearing (arguably the most important aspect).

3) What to alter
With the items that we keep, it’s vital to ensure a proper fit still exists on them. Thankfully, with our alteration services we are able to accommodate clients’ individual clothing to extend their wearable lifespan.

4) What to add
Now is the time to fill all of the gaps that have either been neglected over the years or created though donated older clothing. These gaps may include appropriate suitings, sport coats, trousers, hybrid pants, outerwear, shirts (dress and casual), shoes, and accompanying accessories. Depending on your environment, audience, and frequency of wears, our selections will become specifically curated for your lifestyle.

Ultimately, our goal is to ensure you have a proactive wardrobe that is ready. Ready for business events, casual meetings, cocktail hours, fundraisers, galas, weddings, interviews, date nights, celebrations, travel, and city strolls.
